Course Description
Learn how to create and express fearlessly and effectively. Ian will encourage you to think differently and show you how to practice various art skills in a holistic approach. There will be a range of subjects, including the human figure with a model introduced every alternate week. Emphasis will be placed on line and brush control, balance of composition and mastering tonal values. Use your preferred water based medium – water colours and acrylics. About your Tutor: Ian de Souza is a full time practicing artist and educator with an exhibition history spanning more than 40 years, his most recent being in Singapore, October 2023. His approach to his practice is highly disciplined and includes weekly figure drawing sessions and teaching commitments. Terms and Conditions
A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
