Please note $10 material fee is NOT included in the course cost. Learn how to use a grid to paint a portrait of a favourite person in your life or a famous person. You will learn about colour, composition, texture, tone and mark-making while creating your artwork. Bring along an image of someone you would like to paint, or your tutor will have some reference images you can choose from. Painting portraits is a great skill to learn, and you will find that you look more closely at facial features – eyes, mouth, nose – and how faces all have similarities but are each unique. About your tutor: Rhonda has over 20 years of experience as an artist in drawing, painting, photography, sculpture and printmaking. She’s been working with children in many different educational programs for over 15 years. Rhonda enjoys teaching art and the specific skills required in various mediums and then allowing students to experiment and explore the techniques and use their creativity to complete their artwork. What to bring: Drink and Snack Wear suitable clothing for doing artwork. Material fee: $10, paid in cash to the tutor, and will include all materials needed to complete the workshop.
Terms and Conditions
A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
