Course Description

Discover abstract art by way of creativity and imagination as you work through the basic elements of art. Each week you will explore a new artist and develop a routine for artistically “limbering up”. About your Tutor: I am from Perth and an exhibiting career Artists with over 10 years experience on the local Art scene being represented by galleries locally, nationally and internationally. I have previously taught Art and Art History at the Claremont School of Art and the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts. About the Course The course I deliver contains aspects that develop creativity and imagination beginning with the basic elements of art. Throughout the 8 weeks we discover a new artist each week, we develop a routine for artistically "limbering" up and explore the colour wheel and colour mixing and how that relationship drives our work. We explore technique, experimentation and improvisation. What you need to bring Primary colour Acrylic paint ie red, yellow, blue and white. Sketch book, charcoal and soft pencils. Assorted brushes plus one large for background painting. Stretched canvas, size of your choice.

Terms and Conditions

A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is canceled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
