Course Description

Material Fee $65 paid to the tutor at the first class. Young artists are exposed to various art materials and art forms, including drawing, painting, printmaking and collage. Emphasis is on supporting young artists to be creative and confident while learning different art skills . New topics are introduced each term. About the Course: Have fun exploring a range of subject matter and techniques with a focus on developing technical skills, learning to understand and use the elements of design and growing our individual creativity. Rhonda is an enthusiastic and supportive artist who encourages kids to explore and discover through experimentation and creative learning. She will introduce the children to a variety of art processes, with a focus on developing knowledge, problem solving and instinct. Learn from a passionate artist in a nurturing and creative environment About the tutor: Rhonda has been working with young children for over 15 years in literacy education and the creative arts. Her educational and work experience as an artist began 25 years ago in Paris. She continued her artistic learning in both Canada and Australia. Here in Perth, she learned the art of printmaking under the direction of Master Printmaker Jo Darvall. An award-winning artist in the recent 2018 Biology as Art Exhibition at UWA, Rhonda is motivated to guide children and adults in creating art of all forms and enhancing their creativity. She teaches these skills using creative, engaging and fun themes and projects. The processes of creativity and discovery are very important aspects in all of Rhonda’s classes. Terms and Conditions

A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is canceled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
