Course Description

Material Fee: $10 payable to the tutor. Learn how to make cups and bowls on the pottery wheel. Techniques covered will include throwing, trimming and glazing, with your final works being fired to take home and use. About your Tutor: Finn Happ is a 3rd generation potter from the Busselton area. He has recently relocated to Perth and is excited to share his experience teaching pottery to young artists. Over the past 4 years, he has taught kids of all ages and abilities and worked with family groups as well to explore the joy of ceramics. Old towel Personal clay tools โ€“ optional, tools on site as well Journal and pencil Ideas, creativity, positive attitude ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง๐™ž๐™–๐™ก ๐™๐™š๐™š: $10, paid to the tutor at the first class. This will cover Stoneware clay and fair use of colourants and glazes. Tools and equipment are supplied. The cost of firing is included in course fees. Please note that it takes up to 4 weeks after the end of the term for fired works to be available. Tresillian Arts Centre endeavours to have all student work fired within 4 weeks of the end of term. TAC staff will email ceramics students to advise when firing from the recent term is completed and available for collection. Please note that completed work will not be kept for more than 3 months as we do not have space to store work.


Terms and Conditions

A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
