We will examine the exciting and dynamic changes that took place in art as it responded to and occasionally anticipated a rapidly changing world. It is a period that has produced some of the most powerful and at times bewildering, and beautiful works in Western Art. This is a course for anyone who is curious about the art of our times and it's not-too-distant predecessors. About your Tutor: Richard Gunning completed his BA at Curtin and post-grad studies at the Central School of Art and Design in London. He has had numerous solo exhibitions since 1984 and regular group shows. He is represented in all of the major collections of Western Australia including AGWA, UWA, Wesfarmers Collection and Holmes a Court Collection. Richard has been a tutor in Fine Art and Art History at many institutions including Curtin University, UWA, and Central TAFE, and has also travelled extensively.
