Course Description
Please note $10 material fee is NOT included in the course cost. Learn how to make a range of accessories that you can attach to your school bag or gift to friends. You will learn the knotting and finishing techniques to make key/bag tags using macrame cords on rings. You can hook these beauties together to attach them to anything you like. Macrame is an age-old craft that anyone can learn. It doesn't matter if you are a complete beginner as your tutor will show you macrame techniques from start to finish for your project. You can use the skills from this workshop to make other items at home. About your tutor: Yvette Moran has been a teacher for many years and enjoys working with young people. She loves macrame and is devoted to this craft. Yvette has been teaching macrame to young people and adults for a few years. Her macrame creations are many and varied, ranging from lampshades to Christmas decorations. Any project can be modified easily, as you can just unpick your knot and redo it. Yvette is excited to share this skill with the Tresillian community and see others enjoy this craft. What to bring: Drink and Snack Wear suitable clothing for doing artwork. Material fee: $10, paid in cash to the tutor and will include all materials needed to complete the workshop.
Terms and Conditions
A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
