Drawing with Pastels

Ages 7 to 12

Working from a photo reference, learn how to use pastels to draw and paint at the same time. Be creative while you learn about composition, tones and colour.

Origami Animals, Gardens and Models

with Tomomi Yamamoto

Ages 5 to 12

Enjoy creating origami animals, gardens and models using Japanese origami papers. You will also learn a brief history of origami. Take your creations home with you to play with or display.

Magic of Manga

Ages 7 to 10

Be inspired by a Manga artist who loves the world of Manga. You will create your own Manga characters using the techniques of the Japanese Manga schools.

Acrylic Painting on Canvas

Ages 7 to12

Explore colour, composition, texture, tone and mark making using acrylics on canvas. Learn how to use a grid drawing technique and enjoy an intro to colour theory.

Manga Art

Ages 11 to 15

This workshop is for more mature young artists with an interest in Manga. You will learn to draw Manga figures using the same techniques used in the Japanese Manga schools. Be inspired by an artist who loves anime and the world of Manga.

Drawing with Nature

with Stephanie Reisch

Ages 10 to 14

Students will create mixed-media drawings that reference the surrounding environment using materials derived from nature such as wax, raw pigments and organic objects. The worskshop caters for all skill levels in a fun and supportive environment.

Pen and Watercolour Artist Journal

with Rhonda Breen

Ages 8 to12

An artist journal is a fun way to capture what you’ve done and where you’ve been, using art skills. Sketch, draw and paint in this workshop, then take these skills with you whenever you travel or have a day out.

Intro to Oil Painting for Teens

with Stephanie Reisch

Ages 12 to 17

Teens will learn the fundamentals of oil painting with a professional artist in a fun and supportive environment. Students will explore colour, composition and basic brush and palette knife techniques through small painting studies on canvas. Suitable for all skill levels.

Weave a Wall Hanging

with Leela Day

Ages 10 to 14

We will create scenes or patterns using a variety of wool types and colours. The weaving you make will be done straight onto a frame that can be hung on your wall immediately.

Friday 24 April

9.30am to 12.30pm

$60 + $15 material fee



Block Print on Fabric

with Leela Day

Ages 10 to 16

Use various block printing techniques to design and print your own patterns on various fabrics. Bring a tshirt of your own or use fabric supplied by tutor.
