Your Tutor: Stefania Ravelli I am a passionate and experienced teacher with a Master’s degree in Translation Studies from the University of Western Australia, where I graduated with distinction. Fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish, I provide personalised language tutoring that caters to individual learning styles and goals. My approach focuses on immersive learning and cultural understanding, helping students achieve fluency and confidence in every language. As a professional translator, I bring a deep understanding of language nuances and effective communication strategies to my teaching. I have successfully helped numerous students, from beginners to advanced learners, improve their language skills through tailored lesson plans and engaging teaching methods. I strive to create a supportive and interactive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential. About the Course This course is perfect for students with little or no previous knowledge of Italian. Through practical and engaging lessons, you will learn how to greet people, introduce yourself, spell and pronounce words, and ask about someone’s nationality and background. You will also learn how to give your phone number and address, use numbers up to 100, and order coffee, food, or drinks in a bar or restaurant. We’ll cover how to make polite requests, thank someone, ask for the bill or the price of an item, and use common vocabulary related to food and beverages. Grammar topics will include nouns, articles, and demonstrative pronouns. The course is ideal for those who want to start speaking Italian confidently in everyday situations. What you need to bring Pen, paper, and any handouts to all classes. Students should have access to an Italian - English dictionary. Material Fee: $10 cash as a contribution towards photocopying for course material.

Terms and Conditions

A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
