Course Description
Revise and deepen your understanding of, and ability to use, Italian including all its tenses and moods in both oral and written contexts. Designed to follow Italian – Intermediate or equivalent. Your Tutor: Margherita Cavani I am a passionate teacher of Italian as a second language, qualified and with a 9 years of experience teaching in Perth (adult courses and pre school children). I can teach any level of students. I was born in Carpi (Modena) Italy, where I worked as a lawyer in a bank for 18 years. I immigrated to New Zealand in 2009 and in 2016 I arrived in Perth, the town of my dreams. I love culture, music, literature, sports. At school I have studied Latin, Greek, Italian, European Literature and Arts. I like to teach Italian mixing the grammar with the Italian culture, especially with the use of Italian movie clips and songs. My classes offer a variety of exercises in order to deliver the best possible tuition and an enjoyable lesson to my students. About the Course This course is designed for students who have completed four terms of each: Italian Absolute Beginners, Italian Beginners Continued, and Italian Intermediate (or equivalent). It aims to revise and deepen your understanding of and ability to use Italian, including all its tenses and moods, in the four areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Classes are structured using a variety of activities. For those with a minimum of 100 hours prior knowledge of Italian. There is an emphasis on the spoken language. Students will also learn all the relevant grammar structures, read and discuss texts, and do written tasks at home. What you need to bring Pen, paper, and any handouts to all classes. Students should have access to an Italian - English dictionary. Material Fee: $10 cash as a contribution towards photocopying for course material.

Terms and Conditions
A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
