Chen He is a visual artist, based in Perth Australia. She trained in Nanjing China and Perth the Claremont school of art and TAFE. Her art practice involves art design, book illustration, sculpture and artworks in abstract concepts.
Similar to many artists, her art activities have been affected by the pandemic. Last year, her solo exhibition in Shanghai China changed from a physical to a virtual - and online exhibition. The pandemic has also encouraged her to reflect on her art practice and ask herself what is the source of her Art.
As art has no boundaries, it reflects in the spirit connection regardless of materials and techniques. The art of traditional Chinese calligraphy and ink and wash painting has inspired her since childhood. Chen hopes that these traditional art forms benefit each student’s development as an artist.
