Liz Wright is a software developer who would like to put away the keyboard forever and retire to her studio.
Starting her painting journey in high school, and in particular, watercolour, she dreamed of becoming a professional artist. After school, life got in the way and she didn’t pick up a paintbrush for more than 30 years, until she decided that it was finally time to get back into it. With much support from her family she took the plunge and enrolled in a watercolour class where she began exploring the different styles of watercolour. She
describes her style as “Loose and expressionist with a passion for capturing the Australian Landscape”, and draws inspiration from early Australian impressionists.
Liz is an avid traveller that captures scenes from her life experiences that often become the inspiration for her art.
