Onward and Upward is a new body of work by Valerie Glover. This exhibition of semi-abstract paintings encourages us to be positive, to look forward and explore new horizons, and to journey where we may not have been before.
About the Artist:
Valerie Glover has maintained a professional art practice since graduating from Curtain University with a fine arts degree in 2002. She has developed a distinctive abstract approach to her work over the last few years. She uses techniques from various disciplines including painting and print making and is always challenging and extending her artistic abilities.
Val has been exhibiting for more than 20 years, with 8 solo shows and more than 20 group exhibitions in Australia, Canada and Italy. She regularly supports various charities with her artworks. Her work is in the public collections of City of South Perth, Town of Cambridge, Trinity College, Princess Margaret Hospital and Chisholm College. She has won the city of South Perth Art Prize (2003) and the Town of Cambridge Art Prize and was an entrant in the 2021 Archibald Prize.
