Course Description
Please bring $10 material fee in cash to pay to tutor on the day. Explore colour, composition, texture, tone and mark making using acrylics on canvas. Paint a portrait of your favourite animal or pet. Working on a canvas, learn the fundamentals of portraiture painting and work with acrylic paints to create a finished artwork. Explore colour, composition, texture, tone and mark making using acrylics on canvas. Learn how to use a grid drawing technique and enjoy a basic introduction to colour theory. About your tutor: Rhonda has over 20 years of experience as an artist; in drawing, painting, photography, sculpture and printmaking. She’s been working with children in many different educational programs for over 15 years as well. Rhonda enjoys teaching art and the specific skills required in various mediums and then allowing students to experiment and explore the techniques and use their own creativity to complete their artwork. What to bring: Drink and Snack Wear suitable clothing for doing artwork. Material fee: $10, paid in cash to the tutor, and will include all materials needed to complete the workshop.

Terms and Conditions
A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
