Course Description
Material Fee: $10 payable to the tutor. This class is especially for younger children, with step-by-step instructions and a shorter class time. Learn how to make some VERY cute clay critters in porcelain paper clay. Critters will be glazed and fired by the teacher to take home. About your Tutor: Melanie has over 25 years of ceramic experience, working and teaching in her pottery studio. A degree in Primary Education and Early Childhood teaching and an Advanced Diploma in Studio Ceramics, Melanie has facilitated primary school artist in residence projects, run PD for teachers and taught students of all ages from Pre - school through to seniors. What you need to bring Please wear old clothes/apron. Drink and Snack Wear suitable clothing for doing artwork. 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙚𝙚: $10, paid to the tutor at the first class. This will cover all materials required to make your project. Tools and equipment are supplied. The cost of firing is included in course fees. Tresillian Arts Centre endeavours to have all student work fired within 4 weeks of the end of School Holiday workshops. TAC staff will email ceramics students to advise when firing from the recent term is completed and available for collection. Please note that completed work will not be kept for more than 3 months due to space limitations.
Terms and Conditions
A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made before the beginning of the term. No refund will be given once the term has started. Participants in the term courses must be 18+ unless attending the After School or School Holiday workshops. Classes are not held on public holidays. Course start and finishing dates may vary due to public holidays and the availability of the course tutor. A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre. A refund will only be given if you have a medical certificate for the dates you have missed. No pro-rata payments are available for term courses or if classes are unattended by the student.
