Hazel has taught art to children in after school classes over many years, as well as being a cover teacher at secondary/high school where she taught teens. Hazel completed a degree in fine arts (1987) and has since enjoyed painting whenever she could find pockets of time whilst raising her family. She is inspired by the vibrant colours and forms of nature and enjoys creating in mixed media such as acrylics, water colours and inks, colour pencils and charcoal. When she is not painting, she enjoys yoga, walking, paddle boarding and spending time with her family.
