Ric Burkitt

Abstract Acrylic

Ric is an ex-graphic designer, ex-VET trainer, and practicing full-time artist. Primarily a painter, Ric works in a variety of styles and mediums from his studio in Stoneville. His current body of work explores the potential for non-representational abstraction – using colour, line, shape, texture, and so on – to make emotional connections with the viewer. He also enjoys painting landscapes and figures, in both oils and acrylics, as expressions of less ambiguous notions and themes. Ric has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Curtin University (1992).
