Robbie began his journey with ceramics at an early age, being taught by
his father Bernard Kerr in their home studio in Glen Forrest. After a long hiatus,
he got back on the wheel in January of 2018 and has been obsessed with
creating pottery ever since.
Robbie generally makes functional wares from stoneware clay, using a
range of firing methods including reduction, oxidation, salt-fire and woodfire
to finish his work. Robbie is fascinated with the experimental nature of
clay, exploring different styles and techniques in his practice.
